Welcome to Phool Prasad, a women-led upcycling company established in 2018 with a mission to reduce waste and promote sustainability. Our founders, Sushama Sharma (Wasti) and Samundra Raj Aryal, recognized the need for a sustainable business that focuses on waste management, and from that realization, Phool Prasad was born. By repurposing discarded flowers, we transform peoples' offerings into incense, which can be used again for the same purpose. In addition to tackling waste management, we are committed to creating a positive impact on the environment and society.
Our main objective is to transform floral waste from temples into incense, creating value from waste and promoting sustainability. At Phool Prasad, we start our production process by carefully collecting discarded flowers that are offered at temples. After meticulously sorting out the reusable ones, we further process them by combining them with the finest Himalayan herbs like juniper, sandalwood, and rose, along with essential oils. What makes us unique is that this entire process is carried out by women, empowering them with skills and opportunities. Through our eco-friendly incense production, we not only reduce waste, but also give these flowers a new purpose and life, transforming them into a meaningful product. By combining traditional practices with sustainable methods, we create incense that carries the blessings and values of the temple offerings, while also promoting gender equality and empowerment in our production process.
